Portugal charges 20 euro’s for each A10 and take up to 2-3 months to receive. the Portuguese Government will say all birds that enter Portugal must be Registered over rides English A10 even though A10 are valid in all E.U Countries, FAILIER TO DO THIS WILL HOLD A HEAVY FINE FOR EVERY BIRD THAT IS DISPLAYED WITHOUT THE A10 AT THE TIME AND THE ORGANIZER OF AN EVENT COULD ALSO BE FINED. an organizer of any event in England that has more than 1 Person with birds of prey OR OTHER BIRDS CHICKENS ETC, from different areas must Contact D.E.F.R.A at least 14 days before the event. to check if a Licence is required for congregation (GATHERING) of birds in a single area your Show. The (BIRD FLU) Law still applies in some parts of England. It is advised that birds owners attending these events have Bio Security in place( alcohol hand wash) Falconers must not pass gloves to other bird handlers from other areas. Prevent avian contamination. FAILEUR TO COMPLY TO THE BRITISH AVIAN FLU REGULATIONS CARRIES A FINE OF £5,000 OR A JAIL SENTANCE OF 6 MONTHS.

A10s ARE FOR, SHOWING BIRDS FOR GAIN, SALE, HOLDING FOR SALE,TRANSPORTING FOR SALE, BREEDING AND MUCH MORE YOU MUST READ BOX 20 IT IS NOT ILLEGAL IF A PERSON GIVES YOU A BIRD FREE OF CHARGE, AS LONG AS YOU GET A LETTER TO THAT EFFECT FROM THE PERSON THAT GAVE YOU THE BIRD. You may only take a native wild Owl into captivity if it is unable to fend for itself. And Then only for the purpose to tendering it until it is fit for release. If the Owl is Permanently Disabled it may be used for educational display to the public, provided you have obtained an Article 10 certificate . Applicants must provide a letter from a Veterinary surgeon confirming that the bird is permanently disabled and provide full Details of its acquisition. The SALE OF WILD BIRDS IS NOT ALLOWED. When and if you require an A10 the conditions for the use of the bird will Vary from bird to bird depending how you required the bird, and your intentions of use of the bird So you must READ BOX 20 and take note of what is says, If you are not sure on the conditions of the A10 they do sound hard to understand for some people. Before you do anything with your A10 bird LOOK AT BOX 20 If it says ... The certificate is valid for all commercial activities through out the life of the specimen , this specimen must be permanently and uniquely Marked as described in box 4. YOU ARE COVERED WITH ALL ACTIVITIES. |
